N.O.V.A iPod Touch/iPhone Review

I'm going to start with saying this is hands down the best FPS on the iPhone. No doubt.
The game has a 13 level campaign and 4 person local/online multiplayer. The campaign is debatable, but the online experience in top notch. But more about that later. This game has had so much hype the last few months, and overall, it delivers.

Campaign
There are 13 levels of the single player campaign to NOVA, starting with Unhappy To Help, in which you have to secure and leave a cargo ship. Each level is unique, with different weapons and atmospheres. Levels vary from cargo ships to jungles to ice-capped mountains.
My only gripe about the campaign was that the enemies were extremely similar. You'll feel as if you've killed the same alien several times. They vary from little green crab like aliens, to glowing red behemoths that breath fire, and a standard rifle wielding alien.

Multiplayer - Local/Online
The multiplayer is one word:phenomenal. For the iPhone.
The multiplayer is absolutely amazing.
There are a wide variety of weapons, including : assault rifle, pistol, sniper rifle, RPG, grenades, plasma guns, etc.
You can either play locally through Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity or online through wi-fi/3G, with up to 4 players. There are only 5-6 maps, which do get repetitive after playing a while.
WARNING FOR ONLINE PLAYERS : You most likely will lose connectivity several times, the servers are almost always extremely busy. Best times to play are in the morning and at about 12pm, noon.
If you get this game for any reason, do it for the online experience. It is unrivaled, and completely surpasses Eliminate Pro. Don't get me wrong, EP is great, and free(check it out).
WATCH OUT FOR HACKERS : Two hackers I've come across are Jacronic and jesus93.
Their characters look like dead bodies that teleport around maps and CANNOT BE KILLED.
They snipe, etc.

Controls
Obviously you can see the HALO inspired gameplay in NOVA, and honestly it pulls it off quite well.
This is where NOVA shines more than any iPhone FPS. The controls are FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE.
You can move the joysticks, fire button, jump button, reload/weapon switch ANYWHERE.
Because of this, NOVA is extremely user-friendly. Your hands, your controls, make for a hell of a ride.

The Verdict
Controls 4/5
Story/Campaign 3/5
Multiplayer Experience 5/5
Weapons/AI 4/5
Environments/Graphics 5/5

Overall, NOVA is the best FPS availabe for the iPhone/iPod Touch today, and if you have iTunes money(specifically $7), this game is a BUY.
The price I believe is a bit too high for the content, if yo don't want to buy it at $7, I would suggest wait until it's about $4-5.

Thanks for reading, I hope this helped.
:D
Enjoy NOVA
